A warm, welcome to Ty Nant

Ty Nant (or House by the Stream) is a 5 star, comfortable home offering everything you need for a truly enjoyable holiday. Situated in a peaceful location, the house sleeps 8 guests in four large bedrooms, welcomes up to 2 dogs and has the added luxury of a bubbling hot tub situated next to a babbling brook.

At Ty Nant you will be just an 8 to 10 minutes' walk away from the sea – and it’s downhill all the way to what has to be one of the very best beaches in West Wales. Beautiful, sandy Tresaith Beach has ‘Blue Flag’ status, a stunning waterfall, is excellent for kayaking, rock pooling and dolphin spotting, and is dog friendly.

Overlooking the beach is the Ship Inn which is perfect for family lunch or an early dinner and is simply idyllic for a sundowner. There is also a little beach shop serving ice creams, drinks and snacks in the school holidays, and a sailing club which holds beach festivals on summer Bank Holiday weekends.

From Ty Nant you are also within 10 minutes’ drive of Aberporth, where the larger of the two beaches (the first beach as you come in from Tresaith) is dog friendly all year round. And don’t miss a trip to Penbryn beach (featured in the Bond movie, Die Another Day) which is only a 5 minute drive and is as unspoiled as it is stunning. You can park in the National Trust car park and walk down to Penbryn beach along the lane or through the woods alongside the stream.

Also within 15 minutes of the house is the lovely village of Llangranogg, which also has a ‘Blue Flag’ beach. There is a good pub here as well as an award-winning pizzeria, a fish and chip style restaurant and a lovely beach café selling fabulous ice cream and cakes.

For days out, we highly recommend New Quay (especially for dolphin watching boat trips), Aberaeron, where there is a colourful harbour with lots of cafes and restaurants, Poppit Sands or Newport, which both have fabulous, long, sandy estuaries, and the stunning Mwnt Beach with its iconic headland and ancient chapel. And don’t forget Cardigan, with its interesting castle and plethora of cafes and shops. There is also a swimming pool, rugby club and a 3-screen Cinema/Theatre there.

The colourful seaside resort of Tenby is also just over an hour away, and the small town of Narberth is worth calling in at on the way there or back, with its excellent selection of boutique shops, delicatessens, coffee shops and restaurants.
