Happy Easter from Ty Nant Tresaith

Easter is a lovely time to visit West Wales. The weather - and the sea - is getting warmer, the leaves are turning green, and all of the visitor attractions are opening up again for the year.
Here is a quick round up of some of the things for you and the family to enjoy near Tresaith this Easter.
LLANERCHAERON
The National Trust property at Llanerchaeron (see photo below of the Walled Garden), just a short drive up the coast and inland from the pretty harbour town of Aberaeron, is a great place to visit with the family at any time of year. But this spring, from 12 April to 27 April 2025 (between 10am and 4pm), you can enjoy one of the nature trails, along which can be found nature-inspired activities for all the family. The trail costs just £3 per child and each child will get a trail map and an Easter egg.
CARDIGAN
Over the Easter weekend you can join in a Grand Easter Egg Hunt at Cardigan Castle and take part in a range of other activities, including a children's Sow A Seed session.
Saturday 26 April is Barley Saturday in Cardigan. This unique event dates back to the 19th century when farmers from all over the Cardigan area would descend on the town to hire workers and inspect stallions put out to stud. Today it is the horses who take centre stage, as they are paraded through the town, followed by a display of vintage cars, motorbikes, tractors, milk floats, carriages and wagons. Find out more on the event's Facebook Page. The main event starts at 2pm but there will be a stallion show on Cardigan Secondary School's field at 11am.
NEW QUAY
All of the wildlife and dolphin spotting boat trips will be up and running in New Quay over the Easter weekend, so book your tickets online or in the kiosk on the quay and hop on board for a chance to spot dolphins, seals and all kinds of sea birds.
CILGERRAN
The Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi Marshes near Cilgerran is a lovely place to visit with family all year round, with opportunities to bird watch in the marshes, or walk along the stunning Teifi River gorge (see photo) but over Easter (Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April from 10am to 3pm) you can enjoy an Easter Trail with a soft toy prize, and (on Easter Friday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm) a Reptile Ramble plus a range of nature-inspired craft activities, such as clay modelling. Visit their website to find out more.
